My Grey Shoes

I'm Audrey's grey shoes.  When I got bought, I was shiny, but after a few days I got to get really dirty.  Audrey likes to run around and play.  So do I.  I dislike walking, but she has to walk every now and then.  She loves taking walks.  I do too, as long as I run or skip, or see a dog.  It is almost Christmas!  Yee-haw!  (I like to say yee-haw every now and then.)  My friend Boots, his middle name is Horse because usually every Thursday she rides horses. I can't ride horses because I don't have a heel to keep me on a horse, but Audrey's sister used tennis shoes to ride a horse because that was the only kind of shoes she had. I like being Audrey's grey shoes.  :)

The Cat That Always Scratched My Eye

I gave my cat a little bit of tuna.  It scratched my eye.  I gave my cat a little milk.  It scratched my eye.  I gave my cat tuna water, and it scratched my eye.  Everything I give it, it scratches my eye. Even its favorite toy or catnip, it scratches my eye.  And after the catnip, I gave it the toy and it scratched my eye three times!  I'm beginning to think that each time my cat sees me it's going to want to scratch my eye.  And sure enough, that night when I came in, it scratched my eye.  Each time it sees me, it scratched my eye.  I beginning to wonder if I have been mean to it.  Maybe I should try to pet it or sneak up to it and pet it so it would trust me.  The next day I tried it and it purred!  The first time it ever did it!
